When to Replace Brake Pads
“When you start to hear a squeal it’s definitely a sign to replace it sooner rather than later. If you don’t replace them at the early signs it will end up costing you more money in the long run because you will start to eat away at your brake rotors.”
When you start getting grooves, divots, all those lines in your brake pads you’ll get hot spots in them, and those rotors will start to add up with your bill.
If you prolong those repairs it’ll cause more damage to your car and your wallet.
There’s no defined answer for how long your brake pads should last because it’s different for every driver, car, commute, and driving style but if you have any questions about your vehicle feel free to reach out!
“Listening for noises is very important, but replacing the brake pads early enough will save the rotors. If you save the rotors, you save money.” -Kieth, Shop Manager
